Starting our practice in 1989, we have more than 26 years of experience in the local community. We moved to our current premises 16 years ago and the practice has grown from a one chair single practitioner practice to a four chair multiple practitioner practice.
We have seen generations of patients from the Riverland and surrounding areas including Waikerie, western Victoria, and Murrayland districts. There is something special about knowing a family from generation to generation. It is easy to be overwhelmed with pride when a child patient becomes an adult parent and brings his/her child into our practice. We believe preventing the onset of dental problems and oral diseases is extremely important. Therefore, we have a strong focus on providing comprehensive preventative treatment and implementing dental treatment at the earliest stages of disease development to all our patients, with the ultimate goal to delay or prevent extensive dental procedures and to extend the lifetime of restored oral tissues with as little intervention as possible.

Dr. Dimitra Vrastaminos – Principal Dentist
Dr. Vrastaminos was born and grew up in Berri before moving to Adelaide to undertake her dental studies. She graduated from the University of Adelaide and returned to work in Berri, after working in Portland, Victoria during her first year out of university.
She is currently the South Australian representative of the ADA’s Regional and Rural Health Advisory Panel. She is also a past Riverland Country Councillor for the South Australian branch of the Australian Dental Association.
She regularly attends further education courses to keep up with advances in dentistry
Dr. Vrastaminos is married and has two teenage sons. When not at work she enjoys watching her boys play sport, walking and gardening.
Dr. Gareth Vaughan – Dentist
Dr. Vaughan graduated as a dentist from Sheffield University in the UK and brings more than 11 years of experience to the practice. His career has allowed him to work in the UK and Queensland, working as a principle dentist and practice owner, before making the decision to move to the Riverland to be closer to the family.
Since joining our team, he has taken strides to ensure we meet the highest of expectations. Dr Vaughan has a keen interest in maintaining the unique family feel of the practice and promoting continual care for all the family with an emphasis on prevention.
He is also an active member of the local and national dental association, keeping abreast of all the local dental current affairs.
Dr. Vaughan is married and has two children. When not at work he enjoys running.
Marika Falting – Dental Hygienist
Marika grew up in Loxton and studied Dental Therapy in Adelaide. Her career has allowed her to work with children for the SA Dental Service and in the Aboriginal communities of the NT. Following time spent traveling throughout Asia and Europe she worked in London. Upon her return, she completed further studies in Dental Hygiene and has worked as a Dental Hygienist in Sydney and Mildura before joining the team at Dental Care @ Berri in 2001.
Marika has two daughters and when not at work she enjoys traveling, swimming, bike riding, gardening and boating on the river with her family.
Reaghan Edmonds – Oral Health Therapist
Reaghan graduated as an Oral Health Therapist from the University of Adelaide. She was awarded the Oral B award in her year level for achieving the highest grade in Therapy.
She spent a month in Cambodia during 2015, visiting schools in small communities where she provided preventive treatment for children and educated them about dental health.
When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys playing netball locally.
